This October, as Breast Cancer Awareness Month approaches, we are proud to honour Karen Sailer as our Muse of the Month. Karen is a storyteller, filmmaker, and modern medicine woman whose life and work inspire women to rise, reclaim their voices, and embrace authentic beauty. She is also a breast cancer survivor—facing this challenge with courage three times. We can’t wait to share her incredible story of resilience, bravery, and self-care.
Karen is a German-born filmmaker, mentor, and visionary who has lived in Ibiza for many years. She is the creator of My Magical Journey, a film exploring past lives, ancestral wisdom, and the courage of women stepping into freedom. The film has touched more than one million viewers worldwide, resonating as both a story and a movement.
Through her work, Karen blends spirituality, storytelling, and empowerment—encouraging women to trust their intuition, follow their hearts, and live in harmony with the cycles of nature.
Her personal journey is equally powerful. As a three-time breast cancer survivor, Karen has learned to lean into rituals of care—finding strength in simplicity, presence, and connection to nature. This devotion to truth, authenticity, and holistic living is why she is this month’s Alam Farma Muse.

This October, we are honoured to collaborate with Bumi Sehat Foundation, a renowned Indonesian foundation dedicated to women’s health and community care. Each month, more than 100 women visit Bumi Sehat clinics in Bali for breast and cervical cancer education and screenings—programs that empower women with knowledge, encourage early detection, and save lives.
As part of these efforts, Bumi Sehat will join GlobalGiving’s Passport to Purpose Campaign, further amplifying awareness and expanding access to essential women’s health services.
By highlighting Karen’s story and supporting Bumi Sehat’s initiatives, we hope to inspire a stronger movement for breast cancer awareness in Bali and across Indonesia. Together, we can encourage more women to access education and screening, reduce stigma, and build a culture of early prevention.
